Dismantled and moved about one mile from it's original location, the innkeeper Jim, and his family worked to reassemble and restore the three story, white oak log structure over a six year period. Paying considerable attention to authenticity as well as comfort, the bed and breakfast has central air, three fireplaces, and pierced-tin or antler light fixtures. The three guest rooms each have a separate bath, while a large kitchen with a wood fire baking oven produces unforgettable fare.

The enormous living room allows guests to converse, play cards, relax in front of the main fireplace, or to spill out in one of the five Amish rockers.

All the bed and breakfast's masonry work is old stone reclaimed from the structure's original foundation. Additionally, all furniture and cabinetry in the bedrooms and kitchen was built on site by the innkeeper himself from cherry, butternut, sassafras, quarter-sawn sycamore, walnut, and coffenut.
